If only I had known about this from the moment I was preggo!
An all natural hair salon. And I was buying this natural hair dye from Whole Foods, trying to touch up my roots myself. Not the greatest idea if you saw how two toned I turned out every few weeks.
Put it this way…here is Susan Henry, SHADES NATURAL COLOR owner and founder's, mission statement:
Our mission is to provide you with a permanent color process that is naturally based, non-toxic, and most importantly, 100% ammonia-free. We want you to have gorgeous, shiny hair in less time than traditional ammonia-based products, and with less damage to your hair.
I went to try out their ESSENTIAL OIL SCALP TREATMENT, and at $50 a pop it's one of the yummiest, most affordable little luxuries in town. It takes about an hour. Susan's hand-blended oil is worked into your scalp inch by inch, combed through from the part to the ends of your hair, and then massaged like crazy until you are…well…delirious. I'm a scalp massage fiend so this was an uber-joy for me. You're then put under a heater for a bit and rinsed. And there you go, a tingly, moisturized scalp that smells beyond amazing is all yours.
The oil is a nourishing blend (organic olive oil, tea tree oil, rosemary oil, apricot kernel oil, orange oil, lavender oil, and vitamin E oil) that encourages healthy follicle and roots and is a great stimulating treatment for hair loss issues, dry scalp, and other hair/scalp issues.
The hair/scalp oil can be purchased for $24.95. Frankly, I'm crazy about it. It smells soooo fricken good. My only complaint is that I want a giant, like, 16 oz. bottle of it.
I love the idea of giving this scalp treatment as a gift. It just might become my new secret weapon cool, fun and yummy birthday and thank you go-to prezzie.
