I'm a lip-balm obsessed freak. I have been known to stop the car and turn around if I forgot my lip-luvin' stuff at home en route to say, a movie. Seriously. I have to get my balm on, hourly. It's a problem. (And yes, my hubby has called me coo coo for cocoa puff because of this).
So when a little birdy told me that my friend, the brilliant perfumer Randi Cohen had branched into lip elixirs, aptly called LIP ELIXIRS, I knew I was going to be in lip balm heaven soon enough and getting my addiction on. Big time.
And yup, that's where I am right now. Surrounded by 5 heavenly little eco-friendly, recylecable tins of all natural, perfectly formulated (from kukui nut, aloe butter and cocoa butter, and pure essential oils) lip-elixirs that are gonna make me kiss my other stash buh-bye and want to kiss everyone a lot more, with perfectly moisturized lips. Lip Elixirs sink into the skin, are absorbed by it and actually go to work to restoring the lips, rather than just sitting on top of the skin in a waxy coat of goop.
Since I can't decide which is my fave: Chocolate Martini, Mojito, Mimosa, Sassafras or Vanilla Bourbon I'll simply have to rotate them all. For $6.50 each they are CHEAP and the perfect-o stocking stuffer. They are totally dude-friendly and unisex so be sure to lube up your man's lips if he's been getting flaky on you. His lips, that is.

I've been more than curious about these ShaToBu – the workout that you wear leggings.
They sounded way too good to be true.
Shape! Tone! Burn!
They burn calories! They tone your legs and butt and everything else! They make you look amazing!!
Hmm…. I was just a little suspicious, to put it lightly…
I figured they at least must be ridiculously uncomfy and impossible to wear. They look like they would be tight, binding and suffocating.
That was until I ordered a pair (adorable dark steel grey footless ones). As soon as I felt them I got excited. But it wasn't until I put them on that I felt how truly soft and snug these opaque (thank god) beauties are. But, most importantly they breaaatthheeee… They feel beyond fantastic going on and for someone who hates wearing leggings because I always feel sweaty and they make my skin crawl from lack of air, these felt airy and light. I was in serious legging shock. I am in love. I am immediately ordering a few more in different colors.
Now, here's the thing, I have no idea how on earth to quantify an exercise effect or calorie burning. That is beyond my scope. All I know is that they feel like gods gift to leggings (ok, not sure what's up with all the GOD references, perhaps ShaToBu is making me have a religious experience – my god! – see, there I go again).
If you're in the market for the perfect winter tights-situation (footless, footies, to the knee slimmers, etc.) but don't want that sticky, cooch-can't get a breath-of fresh air feel – then these are the perfect thing for you.
Any calorie burning or muscle toning is just icing on the cake. How's that for having your cake and eating it too?

For some reason I've been personally obsessed with men's cas-chill-malibu-beach-gear, forever. I love to picture my hubby in the perfect soft, cotton, sexy sweats and hoodie. I'm always on the lookout for a modern meets classic line with just a bit of edge in the details, say, a frayed-fringe hem on some beat-up over-washed cotton board shorts. Clothes like this just make me want to attack him cuddle. When his mom comes to town and wants to buy him clothes like all great Jewish moms, I've always taken her straight to James Perse.
Until now.
I recently discovered OLIVER RAYN and was blown away by the line.
It's even better than anything I could envision my man wearing. It's even, dare I say… cooler than James Perse (Sorry! I know our grandmas were best friends! I'm still ga-ga for your womens line!)? I'm pretty sure it's not just the ridic hot model they're using in the look book. (Can't be sure…I might have to examine him in real life just to be positive …;)….)
You simply have to take a look for yourself and TRUST me that sexy, casual, cool, modern classic meets a bit of edge, comfy, beachy, malibu feeling clothing for your man is personified in this new L.A. line…
