MURAD’S FIRM & TONE BODY TREATMENT

Roving GROOMED L.A. correspondent, Jenifer, recently checked out Murad's FIRM & TONE BODY TREATMENT and reported back to me.

Here's what the treatment is about:

No pain, no gain, right?

You get to chose the area of your body you want to focus on. So clearly, it's all about legs & butt. Obviously. Here's what went down:

• The very knowlegable woman working on me started with a hard-core, dry loofah rub down of the areas I was going to be treating. This exfoliated the old, dull skin. Ok, no joke. This hurt.

( "A good hurt?" I asked Jen. "A REALLY INTENSE DRY SCRUBBING HURT," she answered. No, screamed. Hmm…this is the kind of hurt I LOVE, I'm thinking.)

• Next, my hips and butt were cleansed and soaked in an infusion of pure vitamin C and followed by a unique combination of ingredients scientifically formulated to minimize imperfections and nourish skin. We let it soak in a bit.

• And then, I was rubbed, scrubbed, kneaded as she tried to work that cellulite out! All this was done with her hands. STRONG HANDS.

( "Ok, I'm falling in love," I told Jen. "Seriously, the harder someone kneads, the happier I am." "Em, this was REALLY HARD!" "Sold.")

This was not any type of frou-frou or feel-good massage, Jen informed me. This was meant to take care of business. I was a bit red, and ouchy and but dare I say…the treatment had some effect? I felt a bit tighter and lifted the next day. They suggest 8 treatments to get the job done. I think I prefer a yummy massage to tell you the truth but I imagine that if cellulite and stretch marks are an issue for someone, and this claims to treat both, this may be something worth exploring as a series.

IZO CLEANZE you cleaned me up real good.

I DID it.

I mean, almost. (It's only 3:42. No, 3:43…and counting).

Day 3 of Izo Cleanze and let me tell you – I get it now, folks.

Cuz yesterday I didn't so much. They say day 2 of a cleanse can be hardest and it was. My head was pounding on and off and not from being hungry, friends. I was never hungry for a minute on the cleanse because there is simply SO MUCH to drink (in fact both days I couldn't even finish everything!)

It was the caffeine withdrawal that was sending me into a tizzy. But when I woke up today, I was totally jazzed and ready to go. I'm talking Freaky Super Energized. I've only ever been that jazzed when I'm on my 2nd cup of coffee at 6:45 am.

On my first two days of the cleanse I just wanted to sleep and eat (and guess what, I DID eat, some salads and raw foods) And sleep I did. And it was amazing. I passed out at 8 and had the best sleep I've had in months. Same with last night.

Today I've felt insanely awesome, not to mention acclimated to drinking all day. I now get it when Tim, the creator of the cleanse, says that once you get over the initial hump, it becomes a breeze.

I made sure to get a seriously brilliant lymph drain with Lynn Banfi at Per Amore in Bevvy Hills. She went over my entire body with her machines to help flush the toxins out, out, out of my bod.

Am I still looking forward to coffee first thing in the morning?

What do you think I'm crazy? HELLS YAH! Will I feel totally guilty about it , knowing that I am off the stuff and can do without it now? YES! Lemonade cleanse? Get real, peeps.

You know I don't mess around with any bull when it comes to…well, anything.

Mama needs to cleanse. You know it's time to clean out when your not-yet 5 five year old thinks your favorite food is coffee and your brain is so fried from dumping crap into your body that your posts are filled with typos.

Prob is, pure and simple – I love to EAT. I think I lasted two hours on that ridic maple syrup, lemon and cayenne pepper bulldinky once, ten years ago. I'm also a grazer and need to be downing something at least every couple of hours.

In walks, no delivers (to my doorstep), the mother-lode of all cleanses. The grand-puba.

That's right. I'm going full tilt boogie starting Monday with the iZO CLEANZE.
