The Peloton bike now available on Kickstarter!

I WANT TO START A KICKSTARTER TO RAISE $1500 TO BUY ONE!

Screen-Shot-2013-06-24-at-10.35.18-AM

The Peloton bike is REVOLUTIONIZING the boutique indoor cycling craze that has only gotten crazier over the years. Since I started spinning around 18 years ago I have watched it grown into a cult of sweaty soulfulness.

Downside: it's $$$, it's impossible to book a class, in fact trying to get to class causes more stress than it's worth half the tie.

With the Peloton bike, the hottest spin class is now all yours and in your living room.

Imagine a world-class indoor cycling class in your home any time you want.

The bikes are now available on Kickstarter!

The stunning Peloton bikes, works of art in fact, are completely new to market.

They come with a unique 22-inch touch screen, which streams live or on-demand classes from the Peloton studio in New York City. A motivating instructor, awesome music, and a view of real riders sweating with you help create that high-quality boutique experience.

Competitive cyclers and data junkies can trip out over the optional channels displays which show your cadence, resistance, power output, and number of calories burned. (Or turn the metrics off and ride without the data.) And those who like workout accountability, you can sign in via Facebook Connect and invite friends to ride with you on the Global Leaderboard.

By purchasing a bike on Kickstarter, not only will you be the first to own a Peloton—you’ll get it for a fantastic value. Check out the various contribution levels—$1,500 gets your very own Peloton bike hot off the assembly line.

How quickly will you pay off your investment? The 3x-week indoor cycler spends close to $5000 a year on studio rides.

Spinning out over this.  Now, to get one of my own!

Check out the Peloton bike on Kickstarter now!

the mystery of the infamous abdominal “pooch” – GLA is on it with Leah Keller

June 12, 2013

With summer here many are cramming hours at the gym to achieve flat, toned abs, sweating it out with sit-ups andbicycle crunches. Despite these hours spent, so many still battle to banish the infamous abdominal “pooch”– that slight bump in the lower abdomen that no matter how many miles run, sit-ups suffered through and pilates session attended, never seems to diminish.

So what are we doing wrong?

With over ten years experience as a certified personal trainer, Leah Keller (MA, CPT) developed The Dia Method, a revolutionary science based fitness system that correctly trains the abdominal muscles, after seeing that her clients weren’t obtaining the toned abs they were working towards. Primarily developed for her postnatal clients, Keller found that these traditional core exercises such as sit-ups and bicycle crunches actually separate the rectus abdominis, widening your waistline to create a pooch – a condition called Diastasis Recti.

The 'crunch' elements of these common exercises bulge the abdominal wall forcefully forward, compromising the connective tissue that runs vertically along the center of your 6-pack muscles and can ultimately lead to a pooch (for men as well as women).

Keller developed The Dia Method to address this underlying cause of the “pooch”and precision target the affected muscles to restore firm, flat toned abs.

STAY TUNED FOR….

Further insight into the science behind Diastasis Recti and why traditional core training methods are worsening the pooch;

 – What is The Dia Method and why was it developed;

– Alternatives to these common exercises such as ‘waist cinchers with a twist’ that builds abdominal tone using all of the ab muscles both safely and effectively to flatten and firm the abs;

– Myth busters about other frequently executed core exercises;
