YogaFit is the world’s largest yoga school, enlightening and educating those to achieve optimal mental, spiritual and physical wellness, through regular yoga practice.  YogaFit’s style is practical, user-friendly style, understandable, and doable by individuals at any level of fitness. With YogaFit Mind Body Fitness Conferences held globally, they are spreading the teachings of a clear, non-confrontational and non-judgmental style of yoga that embraces every body.

Founder, Beth Shaw, has studied yoga in India and Asia and holds numerous certificates in fitness disciplines. She is opening a studio in Beverly Hills this May and is excited to share her practice with the LA community!
 

1) Tell us about YogaFit. Who is it for?

 

YogaFit is for everybody. It is based on the 6000 Science of health and healing, madeaccessible to everyone in a user friendly, easy to follow format.  TheYogaFit school is the largest yoga school in North America with over 100,000 instructors trained across North America. As a company and a style of yoga we are all about safety and accessibility.

 

2) Aside from Yoga what is your favorite form of exercise?

I like outdoor hiking, city walking and weight training.

3) Tell us about Yoga for Warriors program.  Why now?

Yoga for Warriors is YogaFit’s program for the armed forces. Yoga For Warriors is aimed at making life smoother for the United States  Military – physically, emotionally,  mentally and spiritually. With the staggering amount of armed forces committing suicide and a war that’s been going on 10 years we must get into action and help our troops. The time is now

4) What is your favorite pose? Why?

My favorite pose is triangle because you have energy moving in four directions at the same time, you are rooted but moving upward.

5) How has yoga changed your life?

Yoga has changed my life in every way possible. I can’t imagine my life without Yoga and Meditation.  I’m a triple type A entrepreneur and yoga has calmed me down – a bit.

6) What's YogaFit's ultimate goal?

The ultimate goal of yoga is union. To become one with the divine.

7) What is the best advice you were ever given?


 “ Pick one thing and become the best at it”  – from my College finance professor, Dr Lorene Hiris.


8) Do you do yoga everyday despite your busy schedule?  How?

I try and do a headstand everyday and I also meditate daily.
