Are you kidding me? Black-Market Butt Jobs Send 6 Women To Hospital

April 9, 2010

These peeps must really have their heads up their formerly flat asses.

Oh, do read on (thanx My Gloss for the gluteal gossip)…My fave part is the hotel location and the caulk!

A “plastic surgeon” in New Jersey performed butt-enhancement procedures that sent six of his patients to the hospital. The New Jersey Department of Health said the procedures took place in a hotel — not in a hospital or sterile setting — and that the women were injected with a mixture of “silicone, petroleum jelly and hardware-grade caulk.” Yes, caulk!

Instead of getting plump and shapely behinds, the women got lumps and craters on their derrieres and a trip to the hospital for potentially life-threatening infections.

Gregory Borah, president of the New Jersey Society of Plastic Surgeons, told The Star-Ledger that the botched procedures reinforce the need for patients to find licensed professionals in a sterile setting.

Demi Moore on Plastic Surgery: “I’ve Had Something Done”

READ THIS ON MY GLOSS TODAY:

After much speculation that Demi Moore’s youthful look must be the result of plastic surgery, the 47-year old actress is opening up in the newest issue of Elle UK. The May covergirl, mother of three and wife of actor Ashton Kutcher says that she has had “something” done, but is quick to clarify: “it’s not on my face.”

And the gorgeous actress doesn’t rule out going under the knife in the future. “You know what? Maybe one day I’ll go under the knife. It just irritates me that people are constantly saying how much I’ve spent on plastic surgery,” she says. She likens the obsession about her looks with”school-yard name-calling a lot of the time.”

Other big revelations in the interview? That she isn’t necessarily ruling out a fourth child with Ashton. “We talk about it and it’s something that we would like. He’s an amazing father to my daughters already, so I have no doubt that if it’s in our future, it would be another incredible part of our journey together.”

UH, DEMI, YOU'RE 47.  JUST COME CLEAN AND TELL US WHO, HOW AND WHAT WAS DONE TO YOUR FACE SO WE CAN DO THE SAME THING (IF WE HAD YOUR $$)…YOU LOOK AMAZING.  EVEN WHEN NOT RETOUCHED, I'M SURE.   IT'S A COMPLIMENT THAT WE DON'T BELIEVE YOU.

"WHO DID YOUR FACE?" IS THE HOLLYWOOD FORM OF FLATTERY.

FILE UNDER: "AINT' FOOLIN' NO ONE, MISSY.

PRODUCT OBSESSION – ILLUMINARE LIQUID MINERAL CONCEALER

March 19, 2010

This is my favorite CONCEALER.  I love it so much, I have one everywhere, as in, the coin compartment of my car, the cup compartment,  my make-up bag, floating at the bottom of my Le Sportsac…and several tubes are scattered everywhere around my apt.

Wow, now that I'm going to their website, I'm seeing it's supposed to be a foundation.  HUH!  I've been using it for mostly under eyes (amazing!! get the blue tube, it's thinner and better for under eyes) and for little spots here and there.

The green tube is a thicker one.  I actually use them both.  Even though you need the tinniest weeniest drop I still have this ongoing anxiety I am going to run out and reorder them all the time.  Go figure.

Oh, and I forgot to mention, it contains an SPF of 21!

Anyway, this non-fancy, non-designer, affordable ($27) little tube is the best-stuff on the market.  And for someone who has dealt with really dark circles under my eyes my whole life, this is coming from having tried EVERY FRICKIN' (including every single fancy high end brand of course) CONCEALER in the book.

Stat!
