BEST KIDS HAIRCUTS IN TOWN! ROCK’N CUTS – BEVERLY HILLS

So, it turns out that the gorgeous woman next to me on my morning elliptical workout is no other than the infamous Nadia, a Beverly Hills treasure who's been styling the hair of famous folks for over 30 years. She also know as THE hairdresser to the star's kids and owner of the coolest little kids hair salon in town, Rock'n Cuts.

My 3 year old son, AJ, loves getting his hair cut. He wants a new coif every two months and until now we've been trekking to the sticky, hot valley to the only kids salon I knew of.

Rock'n Cuts is right here on Little Santa Monica in Bev Hills. But it's so much more than the convenience that makes it so awesome. They know how to give a bad-ass cut. AJ was first treated to a super fun hair wash. He went nuts, loving it. This was a first. My kids have never been offered a hair wash before. Then AJ was on to Nadia's fantastic, hip, precision cut during which he was fully entertained (but not overwhelmed) by a personal tv and a few yummy treats. Parents can relax, listen to come Doors, Beatles or Jimi and they can get their own hair done too! Blow-outs, cuts, Keratin treatments. This really is a fun for the whole fam salon! (They've got Playstation 3 and fun arts and crafts if you decide you need some grown up pampering yourself.) This was no run of the mill, corny kids cut. Nadia worked and styled AJ's hair with just as much care as if he was an adult. She took her time, studied his hair texture and growth pattern and stayed in constant communication with me to make sure I was loving her vibe – and I was!

The only downside is that Rock'n Cuts carries the coolest line of mini-Rock-tee shirts and I totally wanted them all. Secretly for myself of course.

I mean, look at this kid. He looks like he's in a mini-toddler band. I LOVE IT!!!!!

For the guys (and little guys), they will spike it, buzz it, trim it short, or keep it longer for that little rocker look. For the gals (and their little rockers), they are experts at taming that coif, even if it's fluffy, frizzy, woolly or wild.

Nadia uses Nature's Baby Organics line which is so yummy.

Philosophy behind Parent Effectiveness Training

Whether you’re the parent of a toddler or a teenager, you know that parenting can be challenging, even overwhelming at times. Unfortunately, children don’t come with an instruction manual. And, being a parent doesn’t always mean that you automatically or instinctively know what to do.

Parent Effectiveness Training offers proven communication skills that really work. When parents use the skills they are amazed at the dramatic improvements in their families and in all their relationships. This parenting method was created by award-winning psychologist and three-time Nobel Peace Prize Nominee, Dr. Thomas Gordon in 1962. A major revision of the program has recently been completed with new content, examples and material that actively address the current problems, issues and concerns of today’s parents.

You, too, can learn these communication and conflict resolution skills through our parenting classes, taught by a certified Parent Effectiveness Training Instructor. This intensive, proven workshop is taught only by instructors certified by Gordon Training International. All workshops include hands-on practice, brief instructor presentations, workbook exercises, demonstrations, small group discussion and at-home application.
