The newly renovated Spa at Las Ventanas

March 27, 2013

On the heels of a complete spa renovation, The Spa at Las Ventanas will unveil a fully transformed spa menu this April.

Featuring a full-range of new holistic therapies inspired by the rich history of Mexico, the eight new treatments were designed to restore energy and balance to the body, while quieting the mind, and bringing peace to the soul.

Here are highlights from the new menu:

  • The Path of the Shaman is a unique cleansing ritual performed by a Shaman healer in a private sanctuary within the spa that specially designed for this experience.  The Shaman uses an herbal mixture called copal to purify and cleanse the body before massaging it with bamboo. The experience culminates in a warm herbal tea to soothe and protect the body and mind.

  • The Body and Mind Energy Restoration is inspired by ancient philosophies—Thai massage and personalized yoga instruction to relax your muscles, Shirodara to calm your mind and Reiki to balance your chakras. The restoring and energizing experience culminates in a satisfying lunch from La Cocina del Spa.

  • The Equilibrium Bamboo Massage uses bamboo trunks instead of hands to provide a deeper, firmer massage. This treatment, inspired by the stunning nature surrounding The Spa at Las Ventanas, also involves the ancient technique of equilibrium to activate the flow of energy throughout your body and invigorate your senses.

Situated between San Jose Del Cabo and Cabo San Lucas, the resort of Las Ventanas is located 20 minutes southwest of San Jose Del Cabo International Airport. At the southern tip of Mexico's Baja Peninsula, Los Cabos combines a starkly beautiful desert landscape with one of the richest marine environments encompassing both the Pacific Ocean and Sea of Cortez. The latter is an underwater wonderland, teeming with diverse sea life. The desert is a mosaic of color and texture with forests of saguaro cactus, sand dunes and stunning rock formations. Los Cabos is Mexico's leading luxury vacation destination. Hollywood first discovered it in the post-World War II years when stars went down for the sport fishing and to relax in privacy on the beach. There is so much to do here and enjoy in the warm sun that shines year-round.
