THE LIST: DR. GRANT STEVENS | MARINA PLASTIC SURGERY

We are excited to roll out THE LIST for 2018. What better a way to launch the year than by featuring Grant Stevens, MD, FACS, board certified plastic surgeon and founder of Marina Plastic Surgery in Marina del Rey, CA.

Dr. Stevens is the Chairman of the USC-Marina Aesthetic Surgery Fellowship and the Director of the USC Division of Aesthetic Surgery. He is a Clinical Professor of Surgery at the USC Keck School of Medicine, Division of Plastic Surgery. He is a board certified Diplomate of the American Board of Plastic Surgery, a Fellow of the American College of Surgeons and the International College of Surgeons. During vaginal childbirth or sexual activity over a period of time, these tissues can over-stretch, leaving the patient with a feeling of looseness, especially around the vaginal opening. The loss of tightness eventually leads to a diminished sexual sensation and satisfaction during intercourse.

“Geneveve is a perfect complement to our mommy makeover procedure, allowing women to experience a return to their pre-pregnancy days of vibrancy, lubrication and tightness,” said Dr. Stevens. He added that in a sexual satisfaction survey of women who had undergone the Geneveve treatment after experiencing vaginal deliveries, 67% of the women reported an increase in vaginal tightness at 30 days and 87% at six months after the treatment. While vaginal rejuvenation surgery is right for some patients, many more just need a simple non-surgical out-patient treatment that requires no anesthesia.

I can assure you it will all be worth it. The effects are incredible. I was treated in areas I never considered before or even thought of. As I get older, it seems my face in changing in subtle ways I am not even noticing, but these experts are. And yes, they are subtle – but it all adds up. Michele G. Messiah, PA-C is a Board Certified Physician Assistant specializing in dermatology and aesthetics. Michele earned her Masters of Science degree in Physician Assistant studies at Western University of Health Sciences in Pomona, California. Michele also holds a degree in Psychology- Biology from UCLA. Michele is fluent is Spanish and French.

Wow. Ok, we wrote about Facile Dermatology and Boutique recently and I was so blown away by what I learned, I had to check it out for myself. And well, we were right! It wasn’t until I stepped foot into this stunningly appointed space that it hit me – this is a gem, a lucky find and my newest obsession and go-to recommendation for anyone looking to restore, rebalance, rejuvenate and prevent, and do it all while feeling like you’ve walked into a Paul Klee painting.

That being said, you will fall is love like I did with the phenomenal Michelle Messiah, PA-C who gave me the most rad PRP and micro-neddling treatment that I am now fully in her clutches for life. In layman’s speak this treatment the treatment I had, PRP (platelet-rich plasma from your blood) will help shrink pores, improve fine lines and stimulate new collagen) or, the Vampire Facial truly is life-giving. All I can say is do it. And if Kim Kardashian swears by it, then you know it works, because she’s clearly made a deal with the devil to stay perennially perfect. After receiving her Master’s degree from Western University of Health Sciences and her Bachelor’s degree from UCLA’s Psych-Biology department, Michele quickly started practicing dermatology and perfecting her cosmetic skill set. She specializes in general dermatology, acne treatments, with a special focus on cosmetic facial rejuvenation using peels, Botox, fillers, and medical laser procedures. Michele continues to learn and perfect her craft, taught by the best in the industry. Favorite treatment? I love micro needling coupled with PRP and always a little filler here and there.
