PCA PEEL & PCA SKIN Skincare line

After I grew disenchanted with the Vi-Peel I set out to find another mid-range peel that packed some oomph but wouldn't require any serious down-time. And I've found it with the PCA PEEL, not to mention PCA SKIN's line of top-notch products is rocking my world post procedure.

I had two treatments with the fantastic aesthetician Sophia Phan at Beverly Hills Plastic Surgery. She is truly amazing and went very light the first time, always better to go light at first and see how the skin reacts. I peeled for a solid five days but still felt I needed a little more pow. And that was the intention. Sophia planned for a series of two for me, and assured me the next time we would go a bit deeper. And we did! This time I had two to three full peeling sessions. In other words, after my skin shed once, it peeled down to another layer and then another! So I would say it was a good two weeks of sloughy skin and there was only two to three days where I wouldn't have wanted anything majorly important to do. But no redness, dark splotchiness or anything scary like a TCA or C02, just super flaky skin.

Finally, when I gently scrubbed the last flakes off I had gorgeous, shiny new skin. The only drawback for me was that I was less than diligent post-peel with my sunblock and have developed a bit of hyper-pigmentation on my forehead. ALL MY FAULT!! So please, after any treatment go bananas with your sunblock, even on cloudy days!

Again: After a fabulous peel like PCA with a top-notch aesthetician like Sophia please be a sunblock crazy and pour it on every single second of the day. Simply walking from my strapping my kids in their seat belts to getting in my seat was enough exposure to cause a bit of blotchiness of my newly perfect baby skin. ARGH.
