Why Real Grass?

IMG_3681

I had two major issues when I got a puppy. I love my little fur baby, but I do not love his shedding! This was my first problem – pet hair and dander. I was hoovering near enough every day, and yet still I would come home to tufts of fur rolling across my wooden floor like a tumbleweed in a desert. It used to drive me mad. Only recently did my friend tell me about how effective a steam mop is at cleaning up any pet dander and stains left on the floors. Whilst this probably would’ve been more effective than hoovering everyday, it’s no longer needed. There are a lot of helpful tips online for first-time puppy owners who all seem to be having the same problems. I recently stumbled across the Pupster Passion Blog. After reading their reviews, I decided to get a Roomba, and quite frankly it’s been one of my better investments. No more coming home to dirty floors, and no more spending hours hoovering in vain. My second problem was house training my little pup. I spent hours reading the best tips and methods online but to no avail. Nothing seemed to work or suit me and my home. And then I found this…

There are many reasons to embrace the hydroponically grown, dirt-free grass in Fresh Patch.

Take me for example. I have a new dog, I live in an apartment and he needs to get his grass on when I’m not home, while he house trains! These real grass training pads are all-natural, and dogs instinctively want to go on real grass, so training is easy.

The living grass absorbs liquids and controls odors naturally, turning puppy potty training into a cleaner, more hassle-free process than ever. YAY!

There is no cleaning or maintenance needed because the entire unit is fully disposable. And you can order it to arrive as often as you need with their continuous Fresh Patch delivery service.

All you have to do is replace your discarded unit with a new one as soon as it arrives at your doorstep!

The grass used in Fresh Patch is grown hydroponically (without the use of soil). The absorbent pads of living grass are lighter, cleaner, and last much longer than normal sod.

Due to the COVID-19 Pandemic, school districts across the State, including Carpinteria Unified School District have moved to online learning, creating a discrepancy in the opportunity to learn for some students. Carrying on a rich tradition of community outreach and support, Westerlay Orchids announces for the third year in a row their week-long Carpinteria Education Foundation Inc. (CEF) fundraiser. Dollar A Day CBD – Eliminate Stress Organically

July 5, 2020

CBD is in literally everything—you can drink it, you can put in it your green juice, you can put it in your coffee and even bathe in it. And it seems Hollywood’s elite are doing just that. Never ones to say no to the latest wellness trend (CBD has been transforming the self-care industry, thanks to its soothing effects on the body & mind), A-listers including Jennifer Aniston, Dakota Johnson, Kim Kardashian West and Emma Roberts, are some of CBDs biggest advocates. While CBD eases stress and anxiety, it also decreases cortisol levels which prevents that unwanted belly fat. If the term CBD sounds unfamiliar to you, HealthCanal’s article is a great kick starter

Dollar-a-Day CBD subscription is the simplest and most affordable way to get premium CBD oil delivered right to your door. They offer a high-quality hemp-derived CBD oil at half the average price of competing brands. Dollar-a-Day CBD offers one product, in one size, and one dosage on a reliable monthly basis. This product is a full-spectrum, whole-plant extract CBD oil, derived from US grown hemp. It also contains a wide range and percentage of non-intoxicating cannabinoids while maintaining less than .3% THC.

They stand out from other CBD brands with a powerful mission and a strong commitment to actually helping people in need. They have made it their mission to provide premium quality CBD oil at a price that is truly affordable. They don’t offer fancy packaging, use distributors or retailers.

Unlike big pharma, opposing CBD giants with investors to answer to, and multi-level marketing companies, they put their customers’ well-being before their profits. They run their business based on a single core belief, if CBD oil can help people, it should be accessible to everybody who needs it, regardless of economic class or financial position.

With that in mind, they’ve created The Million Mg Project, a pledge, to donate over 1,000,000mg of CBD to those who are experiencing mental/physical hardship and don’t have the financial stability to afford the care they need.

Demee Koch On Inclusivity In Beauty Now

July 2, 2020

Seeing 6 white faces and one brown one isn’t diversity. #BlackLivesMatter

Don’t settle for an inclusivity ratio that leaves you wondering if you only squint your eyes really hard you’ll be able to see the diversity (attempt). Don’t settle for brands that think diversity means the same skin tone but different hair colours! Sounds about white?!

I started my career in the beauty industry over 2 decades ago. While I am truly aware of the fact that different skins have different needs – Be it from colour, shape or age (yes, diversity and inclusion means elderly people, too) – I absolutely would never understand how you could aim to only serve one privileged group of the world – full stop!

I am blessed with my work in creating grooming concepts (little mini-holidays whilst getting a neat and tidy appearance), and developing cosmetic products with active ingredients with my beauty brand. I truly find joy in making people look good. To touch lives, to make them happy. The gratification of seeing someone happy is the constant prize I get.

We all want to look good, and we want to make use of what’s available in the market, BUT without having to think we need to change our actual selves. The aim should be to fall in love with ourselves, creating self-love to be able to give love unconditionally. We’re all unique, and we need to celebrate that.

Why would you want a brand and their commercials make you feel like you’re not good enough? Anyone in the beauty industry loves to play with colours, so why would you trust a beauty brand that does not implement human colourism? Let’s be harsher on brands who have never contemplated any diversity. Diversity is the true beauty.

The current #BlackLivesMatter and #BlackTransLivesMatter movements brought brands internationally under continued scrutiny for their (bad) behaviours towards people of colour. Fashion and beauty companies that are making it hard to be a black employee is just one example. And there has always been plenty of insensitivity right there on the surface. BUT black lives are never off-brand!

My beautiful souls out there, let’s use your purchasing power! What makes me crazy and different is that I think everything is possible. And I believe we can lead a change by consciously choosing beauty brands that celebrate every aspect of beauty. Let’s dig deeper to find out who is being true and human, who is compassionate.
