CellGenesis from CellCeuticals

September 26, 2010

Who
needs a genie in a bottle when you can have renowned plastic surgeon Dr. Garth
Fisher
in a bottle?  I know you shouldn’t judge a book by its cover, but I have
to begin by paying my respects here to the good doctor from the outside
in.   Every aspect of the design of this product is perfection from the
bottle that looks like an  I.M. Pei building to the gorgeous turquoise
blue and red color combination.   Somehow I just know that if they took
this much care and pride in the design of the outside of the product then they
must have likewise taken great care with what’s inside!

The container is
an airless pump so the product remains undegredated by exposure (very important
with retinols and antioxidants) and when you pump out the treatment, the most
beautiful pale blue stream emerges that literally looks like they’ve captured
the Caribbean ocean in a gel.  CellGenesis is a combination of retinols,
antioxidants and lipopeptides that after 3 weeks of use left my skin noticeably
smoother and firmer.

CellGenesis contains a patent pending ingredient
called GFP Cellular Complex that is said to increase surface cell regeneration
and turnover.  Even if you have procedures, you still need to attend to
the texture of your skin and a good retinal and antioxidant product like this
can help refine and smooth your skin.

Meet Contributing Beauty Guru Katherine Kendall

September 25, 2010

My grandmother had an enormous attic filled with costumes, and my earliest memories are of the magic that happened in that room. Transforming my appearance was a full-time occupation, and it still is. It use to mean that I painted my brother’s face like Gene Simmons from Kiss or wore all kinds of get-ups myself. Then I was labeled imaginative; now that I am “grown up” and my palette is more sophisticated, I am an artist. It all worked out.

I moved to Los Angeles from New York in 1995 to act. When on a set, I always favored the makeup trailer where I could learn about the latest in potions and products. And when I was not acting, I worked for Stila as a makeup artist, assisted with wardrobe and makeup on some commercial shoots. This passion evolved into creating the popular video blog SPINDAILY where I covered beauty, fashion and lifestyle.

Emily has been a go-to source for me for 15 years and there is no one I trust more when it comes to discussing the nitty-gritty of what we are really looking for in grooming, beauty, health, fitness and style. Los Angeles itself is a treasure trove of delights and it’s been a personal mission of mine to ferret out the best new products and fashions. And now I am thrilled to share my findings with you on Groomed LA.

I will be looking for items that add beauty to life, whether it be clothes, mascara, scented candles or the perfect pair of shoes. I will share products that I love because I have tried them and found them to make a difference. I value health – and products that do, too. I am on the never-ending quest for the “no-makeup” look and clothes that are fashionable and flattering. I am always interested in eco-friendly materials but I won’t cover those products exclusively.

I am so excited to be sharing my discoveries with you on Groomed LA!

xxoo,
Kat
