Nestled on trendy Robertson Boulevard in West Hollywood is possibly the best kept secret, Facile Dermatology + Boutique, a unique new medical boutique focusing on cosmetic dermatology.  I recently spent an afternoon here hoping to achieve better skin and a more youthful look. And, since Facile means easily achieved and effortless, that was the kind of result I was seeking.  They specialize in making and keeping your skin healthy and happy.

When I walked into the elegantly beautiful and bright office,  I immediately felt comfortable and at ease. I was greeted by Danielle Nadick, co-founder and creative director known as the Beauty Biz Wiz. The entire staff was friendly and attentive.  While waiting,  I took a look at their extensive service menu. It was broken down into three categories, ‘In the Clear’ a.k.a. acne, ‘The Reversal’ a.k.a. anti-aging, and The Daily’ a.k.a. maintenance. There was so many treatments available including everything from nitrogen infused Cryofacials, chemical peels, micro-needling, laser therapy, to Kybella , injectable fillers, scar treatments, and vitamin injection therapy.  Where would I begin!!?  

After filling out a short questionnaire and sipping on Perrier,  I was invited into the treatment room for a one on one consultation with the lovely and friendly co-founder, Dr. Nancy Samolitis who’s an anti-aging expert and board certified dermatologist specializing in cosmetic dermatology.  She greeted me with a huge smile. She sat down and listened attentively to what my concerns were.  (I felt like my face was looking a bit hollow in the check area and the corners of my mouth had a slight downward shadow that bugged me.)  I then asked her what would she recommend.  She suggested fillers and decided Voluma would address the hollowness issue the most effectively and last up to a year, Restalyne for the corners of my mouth, and Botox to smooth the area around my eyes.  She mentioned she’s tried everything and was able to let me know what to expect.  I said “go for it”.  She was thorough, informative, put me at ease and gave me exactly what I wanted.  A conservative injector, she didn’t overdo it and the results were immediate. She did one side first then let me take a look in the mirror to see the side by side difference. After finishing up everything,  all I can say is Bam!!  She said it would take about two weeks for things to settle in perfectly and it did. I swear I’m looking at least 12 years younger and prettier. I love Dr. Somolitis and you will too!!  

When I was done, Danielle invited me to visit the product bar. With so many great brands to choose from I opted to try their signature HQRA 3 lightning cream, for dark circles, and their number one selling sunscreen moisturizer.  I’m very pleased with both.
