In celebration of getting healthier and creating a better body from the inside, out in the new year, we introduce to you, Mind Body Fork, the latest meal delivery service to hit Los Angeles launched by Chef Debbie Lee.  This service is committed to delivering sustainable and farm fresh meals right to your door.  We were first introduced to this gem during a hosted dinner at The Unique Space in DTLA invited by the quirky chef herself. Chef Debbie Lee, of “The Next Food Network Star,” and author of the Seoultown Kitchen cookbook, was inspired by her own health and wellness journey to create a one-of-a-kind meal delivery service focusing on natural and locally sourced ingredients.

Mind Body Fork is a reflection of the life changes she made when she decided to dedicate her life to her body once and for all. On January 1st 2013, Chef Lee made a vow to live a healthier lifestyle and learned to change the way she would eat. Not only was this a personal transformation, but also a culinary challenge to re-educate herself on cooking from a completely pure and natural source.  Six months into her journey, she had lost 28 lbs, and has been able to keep the weight off to this day. As a classically French trained chef, she was unaccustomed to being conscious about the quantity of saturated fat, sugar and unnecessary carbs that were being used to create a dish. In fact she always went with the motto that fat is flavor, even earning the moniker “Korean Queen of Fried Chicken.” Unfortunately in Chef Lee’s case, fat has become her nemesis presenting serious health threats. After maintaining her current weight for almost a year now, Chef Lee has re-educated her culinary palate as well as her knowledge of more health conscious fare.

Almost two years later, Chef Lee has created a realistic, daily food program that offers food-forward cuisine for meeting a wide variety of individual health and weight management goals.

Providing an array of options based upon individual dietary guidelines, Mind Body Fork products consist of 3 meals, 2 snacks and a dessert daily. By offering four different meal plans to designed to suit individual weight management goals, Mind Body Fork is truly the solution for anyone wanting to feel better, inside and out. All meals are reviewed by a registered nutritionist, Yvonne Kohsel to ensure that daily intake of food is well-balanced and healthy. The four standard plans include:

  • High Protein Plan – meals include lamb chops, filet mignon, chicken mandu meatballs, and other lean proteins
  • Sustainable Seafood Plan – from mixed seafood grill with diver scallops, to wild salmon, this plan serves only the freshest, seasonal seafood
  • Plant Based Plan – this vegetarian option features ancient grains, legumes and local vegetables for health-driven carb choices
  • 60-Day Detox Plan – Sugar, dairy and grain free program that aims to jump start the system, ridding the body of toxins

Mind Body Fork also takes its services one step further by offering private cooking classes and catering upon request.
