ONE WORD (or is it 3?)
Franz makes it possible to be miserable, depressed and on the verge – and walk out of his room, his class, TRANSFORMED.
This happened to me yesterday. I was just in the worst, most emotionally depleted, BLECH mood as life’s challenges have a way of unfolding, rewinding and replaying in a way that make things totally well…suck.
Enter Soulcycle. Enter the energy and light filled Franz. Enter into his room, an electric class that had the most powerful, deep, mind, body, SOUL shifting effect, that it literally redirected me for the rest of the day. I was catapulted out of the quagmire of emotional indulgence and into the stratosphere of, OK, I am healthy, alive and just where I need to be.
Now I just have to go back every day. But that’s another story. I am a veteran spinner. I started teaching in the 90’s and I am a snob. I can’t do half the crazy shit people do now as I have bilateral hip replacements. But I spin 5 to 7 days a week. And I know a good class. I know a phenomenal class. And it has nothing to do with jumps or dancing on the bike, or any of that crap. IT’S THE TEACHER. Hands down. The space, the music, the vibe, the energy too – but the teacher is at the helm.
