One
of my best Valley discoveries to date, Rob/B Nail Salon has raised the bar for
mani/pedis.

The first ever OPI concept salon (owner is Robbie Schaeffer, heir
to the OPI polish kingdom) this sleek, cool, green space boasts a product line of
190 lacquers and MINX Nails, spa-worthy waterfalls, plasma screen TVs,
ergonomic chairs, secluded upstairs patio and hip tattooed nail techs. (My
manicurist, Lisa, helped me custom blend the perfect pale pink for my toes.
Thanks, Lisa!) All skin products are from the Murad line (one of my faves!) and
brows are by Damone Roberts. This place is such a
find!

Excuse me, when did the valley get so cool?

Most Amazing Foot Massage: $25 for 45 minutes! Orchid Nail Salon, Beverly Blvd.

On my way to Starbucks for my daily late-day pick me up: ( 5 scoops of Matcha powder, ice, water, non-fat milk, Sugar Free Vanilla syrup – YUM!) I noticed a new sign hanging in the window of one of the hood's mani-pedi joints. Like a vision, it read:

25$ for 45 Minute Foot Massage

Needless to say, I made a bee-line, kicked off my mom sneakers (those fugly Sketchers that are supposed to tone your legs…No I did NOT buy them, they were swag, and I keep braving wearing these monstrosities in hope that they might actually work), put baby AJ on the boob and settled down for 45 minutes of heaven.

Being the massage snob that I am, I will tell you, this man LEE (speaks zero English) is incredible. He was working some Relflexogology, Acupressure, and Shiastu voo-doo on my feet, toes and legs and I couldn't bare (bear?!) him to stop so I paid extra to take me to a full hour for another ten bux.

Now that's what I call a happy ending.

And it's gonna make the perfect prezzie for hubby's b-day tomorrow.

Oh and he does shoulders and neck too.

You gotta ask for LEE. He is effen brill.

When it comes to hair, I just don’t think it gets any better than good, old-fashioned Redken! Their products always deliver as promised. I just discovered their Curl Force 17 Texturizing Spray-Gel. It’s the perfect product for my half-assed curly hair that without styling would just resemble dead worms on the sidewalk after the rain. This stuff kicked my curling iron so far into overdrive that my hair stayed in perfect ringlets all day and all evening despite my constant touching and lengthy visit to a humid casting office 3 blocks from the beach. And to make matters better, the next day I woke up with perfect, big, loose waves that lasted 2 more days! I got so excited that I started scouring Redken’s website for more magic potions and found a product called Fresh Curls Spring Mousse Activator For Lazy Curls!

I wonder if my naturally dead worm curls are beyond the definition of “lazy” but I just gotta give it a shot, I mean a golf ball sized squirt.
