What is Vaser Liposuction: Vaser liposuction is a two-step method of liposuction. The first step involves using an ultrasound probe to emulsify the fat and at the same time protect other structures like blood vessels and connective tissue. The second step involves suctioning out the fat.

How does the Ultrasound Probe Work: The first step in any liposuction procedure is to inject tumescent fluid. This fluid has lidocaine and epinephrine mixed with saline. The lidocaine helps with pain control and the epinephrine reduces bleeding. The Vaser probe emits ultrasound waves at a high frequency to cause bubbles in the tumescent fluid to expand and contract. These bubbles continue to do this until they shatter and the energy from this knocks the fat cells off of the connective tissue and other structures, allowing for less traumatic and more precise suctioning of the fat.

What are the advantages of Vaser: Vaser liposuction has many advantages.

— It is less traumatic to the fat cells, which is helpful if the fat is to be re-injected in other areas (such as the buttocks).

— It is less traumatic to the tissues and blood vessels.

— There is significantly less blood loss than traditional liposuction.

— Vaser liposuction is great for areas of the body that have very fibrous fat, such as the back and love handles and mens’ chests.

— Vaser liposuction is great for revision liposuction patients who may have scar tissue from prior surgery or scar tissue for people undergoing Coolsculpting who are unhappy with the results.

What is Vaser Hi Def: Vaser Hi Def is an advanced technique that not only removes fat from unwanted areas, but also defines the muscle groups to give a more athletic shape. This is liposcultpure in its most advanced form. For the right patients, Vaser Hi Def technique in men can create six-pack abs, define the back, define the chest, as well as the shoulders, biceps, and triceps. In women, Vaser Hi Def can hi-light the abs and waist as well as the lower back and thighs. Fat grafting can also be done to accentuate the form, whether it is in the buttocks, the chest, or the shoulders.
