Chocolate Love Cake
Ingredients:
1 1/3 cups flour
1 Teaspoon baking powder
1/2 cup Cocoa powder
2 Tablespoons of Linwoods Ground Flaxseed Cocoa Strawberries & Blueberries blend
90g Chocolate
1 1/3 cups butter
1 2/3 cups sugar
7 eggs
1/3 cup Chocolate Chips
Filling:
2 Tablespoons of Linwoods Ground Flaxseed Cocoa Strawberries & Blueberries
1 1/3 cups unsalted butter
1 jar of cream cheese icing
Directions:
1. Line 2 cake tins with greaseproof paper and preheat oven to 375 F
2. Sieve the flour, baking powder and cocoa together into a mixing bowl
3. Melt the chocolate and mix with the butter and sugar
4. Beat the eggs and add to the chocolate mixture
5. Fold in the flour mixture, Ground Flaxseed Cocoa Strawberries & Blueberries and chocolate chips
6. Divide the mixture between the 2 cake tins and bake for 25 minutes
7. Leave to cool and place on a cooling rack
8. For the filling, beat the butter, icing and Ground Flaxseed Cocoa Strawberries & Blueberries together
9. Sandwich the 2 cakes together with a layer of the filling and then cover the top of the cake with the filling to decorate
