Best new stylist in town for hair, Jon Reyman at Spoke and Weal

October 26, 2014

Jon Reyman is one of those top, international, uber-genius stylist super stars that you would be lucky to get your hair cut from.  Lucky me, as I did!  The great news is you can too, at the gorgeous new Spoke and Weal salon on West 3rd street.

I was so excited and had so much confidence going in to my haircut, that I just said “cut it – do whatever” ! Best decision I have ever made. He took my long, witch-tail hair and lobbed it off. I kept blabbing about needing a Brazilian blow out to tame my frizz and kink and he just said NO NO NO. He insisted I drop the chemicals and embrace my natural wave.  He lobbed off around 5 inches of over-processed thinning hair and the result is a lighter, bouncier longer bob, just beneath the shoulders. I love it beyond.

Jon is one of the loveliest people I have ever met. No bullshit, authentic, caring, kind and tuned in to the client.  His credentials are ridiculous –

A haircut with him will set you back $450. But my advice, save up, do it once or twice a year and you are good to go.  Don’t forget Christine for color at Spoke and Weal.  She’s the bomb.

I HATE taking selfies and this is as good as my pose gets – calling Zoolander!  This is me being really happy about my hair. (Now you know why I don’t take selfies!!!)  This is the day after the cut and I worked to scrunch it up and let go of the super straight blow dried look.
