I’m not a dad, at least not yet (or that I know about). But, I do know what dad’s like. I mean, I’m still a guy and just being a dad doesn’t mean you automatically know a better product than a non-dad, unless you wear your kids diapers. That’s for another post though.

Global Wellness Day at Montage Laguna Beach celebrates Kerstin Florian

Global Wellness Day is an international global day dedicated to encouraging and embracing healthy living and the wellness lifestyle worldwide. On June 11th, in its fourth year, it was held at the fabulous Montage Laguna Beach. The spa at the Montage hosted facials by the renowned Kerstin Florian skincare line. The day was especially significant because It was dedicated to the memory and legacy of Kerstin’s wonderful daughter, Charlene Florian, who had been the Chief Creative Officer for the skincare line.

“She was a shining light within the industry, leading the path for a healthy, more natural lifestyle touching everyone she encountered with positivity, kindness and joy. A charismatic executive with the Kerstin Florian team, a source of inspiration and knowledge to our partners globally, Charlene was a force of positive energy who embodied the Kerstin Florian brand.”

The goal of the day was to enjoy a revitalized healthy body, clear mind and a more peaceful heart. It started with a one hour yoga class overlooking the ocean followed by fresh squeezed juice to nourish and hydrate. Next it was off to the opulent spa for a Kirsten Florian signature Brightening and Correcting Advanced Repair Facial. My wonderful esthetician, Lyndsey, explained that the facial would visibly fade dark spots, reduce the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles, brighten and restore clarity while giving the skin a luminous glow. I’m in! The products themselves seemed to do a lot of the work because there were no harsh scrubs, exfoliants or extractions like those I had become accustomed to in my regular facials. A gentle enzyme peel effectively removed a layer of dead skin. I remember drifting off to sleep during the hand and shoulder massage where she used the Kerstin Florian body lotion. When I woke up I couldn’t believe how radiant my skin looked.
